Will the policy allow participants who joined Q3-4 2023 to submit a 2024 CoP in private mode?

Participants are required to submit their first CoP the calendar year after joining and every year thereafter – for 2023 joiners, the first CoP must be submitted during the current 2024 reporting period.

However, we understand that participants who joined recently may not have the infrastructure in place to collect all the data necessary to prepare a satisfactory CoP. Thus, participants who joined in Q3 or Q4 of 2023 can choose to upload their first CoP in ‘private mode’. If a Q3/Q4 new joiner chooses to submit the CoP in private mode, submitted CoP answers will only be visible to UN Global Compact and Local Network staff, and will not be made publicly available on the business participant’s profile on the UN Global Compact website. Choosing to do so will not affect any other aspects of the CoP Policy. For more information on private mode, please see our 2024 CoP policy document.
